A guide to how the lunar calendar shapes the timing of your entire healing protocol, and what each phase means for the layer you are working in.
The moon completes its cycle every 29.5 days, moving from darkness through fullness and back again. This rhythm influences the tides, the growth of plants, and the fluid systems of the human body. In your 7 Layer Protocol, the moon is not a separate treatment: it is the timing intelligence that sits beneath all of them. The same remedy given at the right moment in the cycle will work more deeply and with less effort than the same remedy given at the wrong one.
What follows is a description of when, in the lunar month, each of your seven protocol layers is at its most receptive, and why.
You'll see these phase names throughout your protocol. Here's what each one means and why it shapes the timing of your sessions.
The dark of the cycle. Energy draws inward and down, like a plant pulling its life force back into the root. A time for fresh intention rather than action.
The first sliver of light returns. Energy is tender and just beginning to stir, similar to a seed sending up its first shoot.
The moon is half full and energy is building quickly. This is the most activating phase of the whole cycle.
Momentum keeps building as the moon grows toward full. A good phase for steady, continued effort.
The peak of the cycle. Energy is at its most concentrated and outward-expanding, and the body is at its most receptive.
Just past full, the moon begins to wane. This is a phase of sharing, reviewing and integrating what the fuller phases brought in.
Energy pulls back down again, the mirror image of first quarter. A natural phase for releasing and letting go.
The final, darkest days before new moon. The quietest and most inward phase of the whole cycle: rest, surrender, and preparation for what comes next.
Each of your seven protocol layers has an optimal moon phase. Your appointments and remedy recommendations are scheduled around these windows wherever possible. Below is an explanation of the timing for each layer and what you might notice when you receive your treatment at the right moment in the cycle.
A few things that may help you understand and trust the timing of your healing
Your appointments are scheduled with the lunar calendar in mind. Some sessions will fall at full or new moons. This is intentional. The timing is part of the protocol, not a coincidence.
Many physical, hormonal and emotional rhythms mirror the 29.5-day lunar cycle. Working with this rhythm rather than across it allows your body to receive each layer of the protocol with less resistance and more depth.
I also use the biodynamic calendar to refine timing within each day. Root days, flower days, fruit days and leaf days each carry a different energetic quality that amplifies specific aspects of your protocol.
Not every phase is comfortable. Full moons can amplify emotions. Balsamic phases can bring exhaustion. These are not setbacks: they are the cycle working. They are also information about what your system most needs.
A few lines each day noting your energy, mood and body sensations will reveal patterns within two to three cycles. This tracking becomes part of how we refine your protocol over time.
One complete pass through all seven protocol layers, timed to the moon, runs across approximately one lunar month. Many clients continue across several consecutive cycles as the layers deepen with each repetition.
