Session Flow
Assess presenting picture. Invite client to smell 2 to 3 candidate oils. Their instinctive response often confirms or refines the selection.
Choose 2 to 4 oils for the session. Blend in a carrier at appropriate dilution. Prepare diffuser blend or inhalation strip if using aromatically.
Start with the diffuser running as client enters. First impression of the blend sets the energetic tone for the session from the outset.
Topical application via massage or placement. Use light effleurage to introduce blend. Focus on the anatomical area aligned with the targeted layer.
Guide the client through three to five deep breaths with the blend present. The olfactory route is the most direct path to the limbic system.
Allow 10 to 20 minutes of stillness with the blend active. Oils continue working after application. Do not over-handle or reapply in this period.
Prepare a small take-home roller or blend card. Instruct client in self-application between sessions to continue the work.
